Going to recover my seats wanted all leather was told leather/vinyl is the original seat covers.Is this right? Thanks Paul

most seats,even in modern cars has a leather seating surface and vinyl sides and back so that is correct. However you can get 100% leather seat covers from Corvette America, Willcox and a few others. That's what I got on ours.
The driver quality covers are cheaper and look fabulous (the driver ones have slight imperfections in the leather like minor scars and scrapes when they were still on the cow. However they are all minimal and you really have to look for them and the makers do a good job in putting them in inconspicuous areas. Personally I think it gives it character)

Yes. Correct. The factory leather covers had leather seating surfaces and vinyl skirts. They were not 100% leather.
