Question: 81 blinker arm broke no cruise

[1981&1978]

the blinker arm (no) cruise broke off my 1981. will the cruise arm work. there are not any without cruise aroundwill the arm w/cruise work.

My GM parts manual from back then says 1978 to 1982 w/o cruise is the same. Looking at the parts supplier's sites it seems, as you said, that the part is no longer available new or repro. From the pictures it doesn't look like the cruise lever mounts the same.

You could give JD Corvette a call or email. They had a pretty big yard of salvage Corvettes the last time I saw a picture of their place. A late member here used to frequent the place. Great people. I have bought parts from them as far back as 1971.

    Other than that you could do some salvage yard hunting. More than likely any 1978 to 1982 GM passenger car without cruise will use this same lever. These type of parts were not Corvette exclusive

When mine broke i just cut a notch into the old one so when i stuck it back in it would stay there.
