I am getting very close to having my 81 sitting on the ground (8 months) after acomplishing the following:

Cleaned, primed and painted all exposed metal on the frame

Removed/rebuild/replaced the following
Front Springs (Grand Touring)
Front Shocks (AC-Delco Gas)
Rebuilt all A-arms with poly bushings
Rebuild all four brake calipers--very easy to do. Might have $350 total in parts including new rotors
Changed oil pan gasket
Changed Transmission pan gasket (painted pan)
Removed the entire exhaust system..replaced with Mid America's true dual exhaust (painted all heat sheilding red..car is Midnight Blue)
Radiator (clean/hot dipped and painted)
Rebuilt both rear trailing arms
New 340 Composite Rear Spring
Rear Shocks (AC-Delco Gas)
New Front and Rear sway Bars
New rear struts (beefer)
New CD player
All new plastic (Speedo/tach, gagues)
New AC/Heater Ducts
New windsheild washer switch

I have really enjoyed working on this car. The end is in site. I am wondering how she will ride and handle.......thanks to this forum for all the help. Probably have 500 hours worth of labor...of course mostly my own.

You have put in a lot of work but it's going to be soooo much fun.:D
