Ignition off. Brake warning light comes on. Drains battery. Any insite?

Aside from that it operates completely normal?
if you release the parking brake while the ignition is off it goes out?
Pulling the gauges fuse should also make it go out.

have you had trouble with your brake system???
the switch is located under the master cylinder.
