`81 trim codes

Can anyone tell me the colors from these codes for an `81 that would like to be it`s original color?The books I have don`t show these numbers. 74I 80L 80U Thanks,Lee

In '81, the 80L/80U (lower/upper) paint was Autumn Red, only available on Bowling Green-built cars. The 74I trim code wasn't available in '81 - only in '82, as dark red leather; are you sure it's 74I and not 742 (dark red leather) or 74C (dark red cloth)?

In '81, the 80L/80U (lower/upper) paint code wasn't available unless it was special-ordered; the only production offering for code 80 (red) was along with code 98 (dark claret) as a two-tone. The 74I trim code wasn't available in '81 - only in '82, as dark red leather.

John, is it ok with you if I add your information to the '81 Production page?

See my edit - there's some confusion between the "Black Book" and the NCRS Spec Guide on '81 color and trim; don't know which one is correct - not that familiar with 81's.
