84 Carpet Removal and Installation

I was thinking about buying some new carpeting for my 84 vette. The carpet I have now is pretty faded and in not so good of shape. Is this a difficult job or is it something that doesn't require too much special knowledge. Also, I was wondering whats the best place to get the new carpeting from? The only thing I'll regret about replacing the carpet is that I was told that I won't be able to get carpeting that says corvette on the driver's side like the factory original does.:cry Any input would be greatly appreciated. I got mine here http://www.tld-corvette.com/ its a pretty easy job...take the seats out (4 bolts and unplug the wires) then a screwdriver will remove anything else you need removed...This most difficult piece is the knee bolster on the pass. side. Ifs yours is in good shape you should think about not taking that piece out. You should be able to get "CORVETTE" on the floor of the drivers side, mine does. Its on the plastic heal guard (I think)

I got new carpet on ebay for only $370, same manufacturer as the catalogs. Fits like a glove and looks fantastic. It took me three days to do my car, because I worked on it piece by piece. I must say the most difficult part about it was gluing the door jamb carpet strips, you need about a hundred of those little clamps to keep it from sliding out of place while it's drying. Also, the carpet over the rear wheel wells is a b*tch to get on, you have to cut the little holes for the targa top brackets, and then push the carpet into place until it feels like your arms are going to fall off.
