'84 loose driver side door. need help/suggestions

I have a 1984 C4 and recently the drivers side door became loose. It sags about an inch and makes the door hard to close. When you do get the door closed it still hangs about 1/4-1/2 inch and there is a small gap at the top where the window glass meets the wether stripping.

I looked at the hinges and I think they may be worn, and/or the bushings have come out of place. I figure the best way to solve this is replace both hinges and pins. Thats about $120.

Any other suggestions or comments?

$120 for parts? or parts and labor. Eitherway, you might look for used hinges(hopefully from later C4, assuming they are the same) and replace them yourself. I did this long time ago on 1973 Dodge Challenger and it was'nt too difficult. Scissor jack for Vette work great for popping up one end and you will need a friend for the other end of the door. Make sure you cover the top of the jack with folded towel to prevent fiberglass damage.

the $120 is $43 for bottom hinge, $50 for the top hinge, and 2 pins for $5. then theres some shipping.

I think its just safer to go with new ones to avoid having to change them out again.

anyone know how to get thoes pins out. they have a flat end and the other end is clamped down to they wont slide out. seems to me i would have to either cut them out, or try to squeze the end and try to reform it into a circle to fit out thru the way it came in.

I removed my doors by just removing the bolts on the hinges...
