If you do not have long arms...take the rear wheel off and unbolt the wheel well....

Gotta love those basin wrenches. A thousand and one uses. That is what I used when I repaired my antenna.

My '92 is basically the same. I jacked the drivers rear up and let the suspension lower the tire to give room and remove the rear portion of the wheel well liner.

Once the wheel well is removed, do I only have one (someone had mentioned one large plastic) nut to remove to drop down the antenna assy?

I'll ask the question differently.
Once the wheel well is removed how many fasteners am I going to encounter.
As mentioned it's all at arms length so I want to make sure I have the correct tools..
Thanks...

Definitely support the car, safely, with the suspension hanging down. The higher you get the car up, the better! Remove the tire and the inner fender well. Then, if I remember correctly, I found it easier to unbolt the antennae mounting bracket from the frame and remove them together. Because usually the nuts that mount the antennae to the bracket are rusted and seized & then the whole thing just spins in the antennae body or breaks off.

Be patient!! This is NOT an easy job, (just like everything else on the Corvette.) I have short arms too! LOL!

Yes, and were dealing with a 33 year old car too...

Thanks for the info.

Search You Tube. I recall seeing a couple of vids on this subject.
