'85 700R4 users...how long is the dip stick?

Seems like the one I "think" I need is discontinued....grrrrr.

i've been driving around with a broken tranny dip stick for a couple of months now. Good thing its not leaking!

Can a few of you guys/gals measure the dipstick? Just the metal part only and not the handle?

Im getting ready to open up the tranny pan for some performance upgrades and figure i'll need to replace the dipstick now!

this may be out of your way, but may I ask if you will measure the height (from bottom to top) for the tranny fluid low & high levels?

I have to chop a dipstick I got and want to confirm these numbers.

I'll look in my Haynes manuel too.

*never mind on measuring the stick low/full markers..

I dropped the pan today and wah lah, out came the other half of my dip stick! So I took it from there.
