'85 gauge cluster dim on right side - any answers?

When I started my '85 after a trip I made, the right side part of the gauge went dim. This is the side that has the temp/volt and below it has the mpg/avg mpg. This is the only part of the gauge that appears dim. The rest of the instruments illuminate fine. The car has just about 64K on it. You can still get a reading, but it's just not as bright as the other gauges. Is this a simple fix or does it look like a bigger fix. The '85 has what is called a 'Nintendo' dash. Any thoughts? thanks.

You've probably got some corrosion in the ground connectors - for dash cluster unit (if the grounds are integral with the unit itself), AND probably on the grounds leading FROM the unit.

Check FSM...
