85 injector connector

I'm replacing the o-rings on my injectors and could anyonr tell me how the clip comes off to hold the electrical connector?Does it just pull off?
Also , when lengthening an electrical wire what is the proper way,crimped butt connectors or solder and heat shrink tubing?Thanks for your help.

I would go solder and heat shrink. I think it looks cleaner, and also is more attractive. The strength of the solder will out last any connector you want to use. Heat and other things probably could destroy any plastic connector.

There is a small wire on the connector just squeeze and pull.

I can see the wire,I just squeeze it together and pull it out?Thankyou for the help.Didn't want to ruin the connector.
