- 1986, Dark Red Coupe. '02 EB Z-06, '78 L-82 P.C.
OK guys. I hate to do it but I am going to sale the '86. I've found a '02 Z06 for a good price ($33,000) with decent miles (22,000) for sale. Mama will not let me have two. So the '86 is for sale. Asking price is $9500.00 (OBO) and here is the details:
1. 43,000 miles.
2. Dark Red.
3. 3 extra rims.
4. 1 extra glass top.
5. Just recently spent $1200 on new sensors, MAF and computer.
6. New valve cover gaskets.
7. $750.00 worth of parts including new emblems.
8. Exhaust is in excellent shape.
What the car needs:
1. Paint: The paint is about a 5 on this car. On the pax side the clear coat is coming off. But the rest of the paint is good and shines right up.
2. Rims. As I stated above, 3 extra rims for the '86. The rims are a little tarinished and will clean right up. No road rash on any of them.
3. Tires. I would give the tires about a 6. Still lots of tread left but I think these are the orginal tires. I was going to replace all of them after having the car painted.
4. Interior. All gauges and cluster panel works great with the exception of the fuel guage. I haven't investegated the problem but it could just need cleaning. The seats are all leather sport seats and saddle in color. The drivers seat has some cracks but nothing major. I was going to have them recovered while the car is being painted.The carpet is in good shape. It has a few stains but nothing that is detracting from the car.
I have had some great comments on this car. I have pics that I can send if you are interested. The car runs great, drives great, hands great. The guy who is going to do the paint is Mason's corvettes in Coinjock, NC. He has seen the car and you can call him about the condition of the car.
