Doing complete restoration of 86. My pics do not show which driver side plenum bolts is the stud and what is attached to it. A little help would be appreciated. ;shrug

Make SURE the Torx head socket holes are CLEAN, before attempting to loosen the bolts. They are difficult to get to, and you do NOT want to strip them.

I think on the end bolts (front anyway), I had 3/8" Torx socket, 1/4" - to - 3/8" drive adapter, 8" x 1/4" drive extension, 3/8" - to - 1/4" drive adapter, and 3/8" drive ratchet. A veritable house of cards :L

All because I could NOT get the 8" x 3/8" extension to the socket. :mad

The stud goes in the top middle (center) hole and it holds a black plastic cable clamp that holds the throttle cable and the cruse control cable. :thumb
