Hello all, 1993 base, noticed the water pump leaking, car running perfectly, just caught it. Anyway 106k, replacing opti, water pump hoses etc. Took everything apart and the rotor for the opti was completely worn out on the coil contact....i mean nothing was there? car ran fine like I said. My question is this....I'm using a MSD cap and rotor, ordered a complete distributor cardone, brand new, not a remanufactured and, it's tested. Plan on using the MSD parts with the distributor. Mitsubishi sensor was working, should I use it or no being it's 30 years old. I have to replace the distributor cause it's pretty rough and rusty inside, bearing questionable etc. I'm doing this job this week and have to make a decision and would like input from those who did this and what they think. Petris is out of stock and so is another brand that seems to have a good track record. Comments are appreciated....I gotta get my car back up and running only cause I miss it.
