87 power steer pump

How difficult is it to replace the power steering pump, In addition I had the Vette up on the lift, and found a partially melted electrical connector. It is by the driver side oxygen sensor. Have no idea what its for or where it goes, thanks Jim.

The power steering pump isn't too bad if you have a pully puller. If you can tell me what color wires are going to the connector...I will look it up in my 87 GM Y body manual

The connector wire is blk. I see there is no connector going to the master cylinder, I wonder if it goes there. The connector is melted, thanks Jim.
