Hey Guys and Girls, As an old hot rodder I have timed about all there is when it comes to the pre-computer units. I have an 89 vette and need to time the distributor. It is in and the car is running ok but the manual says disconnect pigtail going to the computer. When I do this the car don't start so I can time it. I need the real scoop on timing an 89? Please help! the wifes car needs to be ready to roll soon. Thanks in advance,
Al Whittier

Hey old, sorry I couldnt help myself!!!!!!!:D Look to the Left side of the dist. you should have a BROWN single wire, follow it along and you should find a connector in the middle of that wire, un-plug that conn. & set the timing.shut the car off after doing so, then disconnect the battery for 1 min. reconnect the BROWN wire, then re-connect the battery.DONE!!!!!!!!!! Good luck from another OLD hot rodder:L
