89 EPROM in an 88 Vette

Has anybody installed a Cold Start Injector Close Out Kit on an 88 followed by the addition of an 89 EPROM ?

I understand that the 89 EPROM provided for a longer injector pulse to compensate for cold starting.

Correct;
I have a '89 ARAP tune in my '87.The later tunes are programmed to give extra fuel at cold startup.

I will look into the ARAP ! My Cold Start Valve is leaking causing the car to run rich which has me looking for alternates.

ARAP is the manual tune ; if yours is auto then need APYP.

If you can't find an original memcal you can always get someone like PCMforless to burn you one
Can also get other tune mods done at same time; change fan on-off temps /TCC lockup speed / delete VATS / etc.

Actually I think you have it backwards.

Also, there are many resources. Check out moates.net, you can get an adapter, purchase some flash IC's, visit tunerpro.net and download that software for free. Purchase a flash n burn from moates, and your on your way.
