hi! my mechanic at the dealership says my 90 vette needs a ccm computer,but the item is not available. does anyone know where i might purchase one?---thanks---john

thanks for your reply charlie! i believe there is a difference in the ecm and the ccm computers.the ecm seems to be alright. the ccm,which is located under the center dash is the one i am looking for.none of the catalog suppliers has this part.so i guess a salvage supplier will be my next hunt.--thanks again tho!!---john

Not that I doubt the abilities of your mechanic, but have you checked for codes to verify? It's really pretty simple to do. You can post any codes that display for help.
I thought I had a bad CCM(VATS issue) last summer, but it turned out to be a loose connector that plugged in to the back of the unit.
If I remember correctly, CARDONE remans these, so you might check there.

Another place I've heard of that rebuilds CCM's is vette2vette, but as mentioned be sure it is really needed, good luck.

Very hard to come by apparently .Has to be correct for MY.
New one FS on Corvette Forum a while back @ $325; stated dealer price was over $500
Email me the # off the CCM
I can't remember if I sold the '90 CCM or the SIR box back to the US. Have to check my "spare parts" dept , you might be in luck
