'91 Aero in MD

I was at Tony's Corvette Shop in MD getting my exhaust dynoed. They have a 1991 B2K aerobody in the shop that they were tuning. It's blue, though it was covered so I didn't get to really see it. No mistaking those blisters on the hood and the vents on the aero nose poking through the cover, though!

Apparently the microfueler didn't work right, or something, and they had been working on getting the car to run well. It would lean out big time over about 3,500 rpm. They got it working and tuned and apparently it cranked out 338hp and 510lb-ft on their dyno, which tends to read about 10% lower than a typical Dynojet. Pretty stout and the car is stock!

Anyway, just a bit of news. Wish I could have seen it uncovered and snapped some pictures though.

Meaning it's been there for a year? Or just that the owner is a regular? If it's been there a year, maybe I should offer to park it over at my place, help them clear out some garage space...

That is my car, I tried to post the dyno results, but the file size is too big. If anyone knows a trick to slimming the files down, let me know and I will put the dyno sheets up. BTW, the car hasn't been there for a year. I had Tony's Corvette Shop dyno it just to see how it was doing and they found it lean out when the turbos kicked in. They tracked the problem down to the Microfueler, fixed it and then ran it again. While it was there, I had a couple of scratches on the front and rear bumpers that I wanted them to try to repair (they are the only shop to trust a Corvette to on the east coast). Long story short, the custom paint has stumped even the factory guy from Spies Hecker. Callaway is of no help on just about any issue we have had from the Microfueler to the paint application. Very dissapointed with their record keeping on cars and their ability to help owners of their cars.

Re: The service woes you have experienced - I made mention of this to Mike from Callaway and it was suggested to contact the shop again for repairs to your Microfueller, if you are still experiencing troubles - They have a service to diagnose and repair them - We should consider ourselves very fortunate to have resources such as this for us - the ZR1 guys do not get support from GM and the cars value in the long run may pay the price
