93 bose to 89 coupe

I would like to install a bose gold stereo from a 93" to a 89" coupe.
Is there anything special I have to do or is it "Plug and Play"?
Please respond because I wish to do this within the week.

I believe that the 90-and-up stereo is double din (din=height) while the 89 is 1.5 din, so you would have to modify the stereo bezel as well as the mounting "shelf" inside the dashboard. Also, you would need a 21-pin adapter since the 89 has a 12-pin connector. On top of all this, I don't know if the speakers would be compatible with the 93 stereo.

You are really bringing me down. I found a great guy on "CAC" that had a stereo for me but it sounds like a dud. On one of the other forums somebody said that the 96" Camaro CD player would work with no mods. Do you know anything about this?
