WE are in need of someone that whants a good deal, and isin't going to BS us. Thanks for your time, Jimijam95

I am sorry to hear about your decision to sell off your car and motorcycle.
I fully understand were you are coming from. We may all have to rethink our priority's with what is happening to our disposable income.

JimiJam95 my heart goes out to you and your wife.

Sorry to hear about your wife's job loss (been there several times) and I hope things work out. Not wishing to add more grief (since I don't know the car) but I've got to think in this market 16k for a 93 Corvette is going to be a tough sell. Good luck anyway.

Hey Junk, just got off the phone with the dealer in Atlanta, their offering me 500.00 towards my last bill, or will give me what I paid them for it, that still puts me about 2500.00 in the hole. What do you think my trusted friend???:confused

JJ95:

I understand how tough it is to part with your car and motorcycle. But if I may offer some encouragement, here it is......

Some years ago I went through something probably similar to what you and your wife are experiencing now. I lost everything. Everything that was a tangible object that is. Cars, home, business, etc. You get the idea. But what I didn't lose was a collection of friends around me who knew me for me....not as a generous employer, or contributor, or someone they hung around because of my modest level of success. It took several years of very hard work but with the sincere encouragement of the people around me, I came back in every way stronger, smarter and more successful. The objects? I replaced them all, and most with upgraded versions of what I had lost.

You're in the construction business. It would be trite to say that money grows on trees in that business but on the other hand, I know several people who've done quite well by seizing opportunities which have opened to them. Only you know where your talents lie but for someone with their eyes open, the probability for a huge personal recovery is not even a question. It's a certainty.

So, ok - you sell your C4 and your motorcycle. Cut them loose and walk away, they're just objects. Go to work and make it all up five or ten times over. Then maybe an '03 Z06 will look good to you, or a C6. The beauty of our hobby is being able to shop, find, buy and enjoy our Corvettes. And then do it all over again when we want to trade. Go ahead, get a Harley or two as well. One day you'll be able to look back at this low point in your life and maybe give someone else some similar encouragement.

Stay in touch.

jimijam95 , I know what you are going through. After the first of the yr things really slowed down where I work and it looks like my income will be half what it was last yr.At present I am laid off for a week maybe two again. This will make 7 weeks this yr that I haven't worked. Just over a yr ago I had to mortgage my house to pay a bunch of medical bills and buy my wife a respectable car. Now I am hoping to be able to sell the 06 Grand Prix and pay down the mortgage to just about half to reduce the payments. By doing that I think we will be ok,but it looks scary from my position. I am sure you feel the same way. Jobs are not at all plentiful in this area so looking for something with more income is near futile. I am not telling this because I want any sympathy but to let you know your not alone and things will work out. I have gotten another valuable lesson in keeping debt to a minimum. :upthumbs :D
