'93 Valve Covers

The previous owner of my '93 used a very harsh cleaner on the engine and now the valve covers are faded out. The fuel rail covers were ruined too but I replaced them. Is ther any way to bring back the original color or will they have to be replaced?

Sorry - that stuff is for the 92 and earlier valve covers
The 1993 and later cars had the black composite covers

If they are ruined by stains or discoloration, a satin black paint may work :confused

I really don't want to change them unless absolutly necessary - it looks like you have to remove the alternator and a/c brackets to get the left side off.

Mothers Back To Black is good stuff. I don't know how it would hold up with the heat. Painting them might be the best option if you can.
