The L-98 has a 1 1/8" bolt. Perhaps someone else would know if the filter is the same size, if so, the bolt would be also.

This is for a bolt for a sandwich adapter thats the same spec as the oil cooler/filter adapter. I ordered this thru a local speed shop,.

LT1/4 engines use an offset filter to clear of the catalytic converter. The bolts are 3 inches long. But the heads are smaller to clear the adapter.
I want to ensure I have the right threads etc.

My CD shows that part number and size fits 92 and 93, 94 through 96 uses PN 14092398 = 5/16" X 18 X 1.875"

Thanks. The oil filter adapter must be different. I am using the old style PH5 oil filter, as I have long tube headers. But the filter is right next to the header pipe, and it is soaking up the heat.
I have an offset adapter, casing number 10215675, and the first set of bolts (the 3 inch long ones).It is a 96 bloc. So, I am curious as to the difference in length of the bolts to the adapter. When I put the 3 inch bolts in the adapter, they stick out 1.5 inches past the bottom of the housing.

I just looked at my CD again, it shows different adapters, 92/93 is PN 10168497, 94 through 96 is PN 12556204. There is no cross reference for the casting numbers, but next time I lift my 93 I will see if I can see one.

The 94-96 is for the B Body too,

The first ones number isnt showing in the parts at gmpartsdirect, but the LT1 they show is
12556201 - Engine Oil Filter Adapter
94 B (L99, KC4)
95-96 B (LT1 KC4, V08)
95-96 B (LT1 1A2, 9C1)
GM may have superseded numbers etc?

Just a guess would be that the early style is thicker using the longer bolts. It is possible the early adapter was superceded to another number, I would have no way to check that. It may also be discontinued, I have found many parts for my 93 are no longer available and they do not show up on GMPD's reference when that happens.

Here is a picture of the adapter on my 93, not sure if it will help.
