The driver's side window deceided to stop working all the sudden. On one occassion it didn't roll down when I first hit the button, then it came down under the auto feature next click. After i got it back up, it would not come down again. When I click on the switch you can hear clicking going on, but no going down. Was digging through the FSM, but was wondering if anybody here had any input. Switch seems to be working (because i can hear clicking when i press it) and the interior lights dim slightly when you hit the switch...

Sounds very similar to a problem I had on a 07 Mitsubishi. The window up and down was driven by cables being pushed/pulled by the motor and a rotating pulley. The cables in this car had broken loose from their mounting near the motor pulley. I had to buy a replacement motor and cable subassembly (about $110 for the Mitsubishi), which I was able to buy on the internet. Took about 1 hour to take the inside door panel off and replace the motor and put it all back together. Get ready to nick the heck out of your fingers, so have bandaids handy.

Good luck, it's not a tough job.

Seems okay electrically, but mechanically not.

The clicking is not gear-like, but switch-like?

Either way, either it probably either sticking and needs adjustment/cleaning/lube or the motor or drive linkage has failed and you'll need to go inside the door to repair.

Surely, the left window (not in UK) gets lots more action. I've fixed my left window (ribbon) 3 times and never touched the right one until I upgraded to the later (non-ribbon & faster) mechanisms. :w
