94 No Start H2O Pump / Opti

Pulled the codes and got a C12 and H72

C12 is just the diag mode isn't it? H72 has something to do with the gear selector switch I think.

As it progresses thru the codes the digital display reads;
1 C12
4 No codes
9 H72
A No codes
1.0 No codes

Module 9 is the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module located behind the driver seat in the storage bin.
H72 is a serial link problem. The CCM cannot communicate with the module. H indicates it's a history code
but all EBTCM are displayed as history codes even if the code is current. :ugh

I would think if Modlue 9 DTC 72 was current the Service ASR indicator light on the driver information center would be on.

********Open the storage bin and verify there is no water inside the storage bin.*********

You can clear the code and see if it comes back by doing the following.

Pull the CCM codes again by shorting pin 4 or pin 5 to pin 12.

Turn the ignition On and let the codes display.

After the display stops with 1.0 in the display.
Press Trip Reset button until 9.0 appears.
Press Trip ODO button until 9.7 appears.
Press and Hold the ENG/MET until ------ appears.

Turn ignition Off. Wait a couple of seconds and turn the ignition On.
Verify DTC 72 has been cleared.
