95/96s - How COMMON is the G92 w/ 3.07 axle as an option?

Just curious - I seem to see a lot of automatics w/ the G92 and G44 options where the standard 2.59 rear ratio was changed to the optional 3.07. Just how common or popular was this option on the 95/6s?
