I'm a long-time Vette lover and recently acquired my first, a honey of a 95 coupe. I've noticed the corner of the hatch holding water and have seen a drain tube offered by MAM.

Anybody have luck with these and...where does the water go?

I installed those drains in my ex '92 many years ago. They work for the most part but you'll need to check them occasionally as they get plugged up with leaves, etc. sometimes and you're back to the same problem.

I have always used a chamois or towel to get rid of the water.

Just opposed to drilling holes in a perfectly good piece of fiberglass.

I have a '95. I use an electric leaf blower to dry the car whenever I can. It is especially efficient getting the water out from around the rear window channel. Also leaves the car pretty spotless too.

Install in minutes. Work great if you park on incline that will make water collect in this area.
You do have to drill the hole, so if your nervous with that well?

IIRC you have to be very careful drilling as you can put a hole where it is not needed & will cause water to enter the interior. RESEARCH before you drill.:ugh

My car came with them and they work great. I shoot some compressed air down the tube a couple of times a year to keep them clear. I am not sure I would drill my car if they did not come with them already though. You can use a towel to dry the area just fine and avoid drilling and possibly causing other damage.
