Instructions were pretty close but nobody said it was impossible to remove the "pin" to allow for removal of the cover for the gear. Now I not only get to spend $80 for a gear and bushing, I get to spend another $450 for a whole new system and installation.
Sure learned my lesson about working on these things.
Word to the wise, if you are not mechanically inclined, don't waste time and money on projects that folks say are simple. Enjoy the ride but leave the mechanics to those who are trained.

This one?

That be the one. Destroyed 1 punch, 2 screwdrivers, and 3 drill bits. 12 hours of labor and I finally got it all back together, even after putting in a new bronze gear, the headlight only opens and closes part way until the knob on the motor is turned. Not much fun having to get out and open the hood each time I turn On or Off the headlights. Of course other drivers get a good laugh. At least the car runs well, just can't drive safely in the dark.
