Has anyone upgraded standard seats to sport seats? I have power driver only. Can you bolt in the sport models with the bladders and all and change the console controls relatively easily?

yes, it should be very easy to do as you said, you could also go one step further and add a passenger side power seat track as well.

Ah, but then the fun begins - at least if you're trying to get the functionality of the sport seats. Although the frames are the same, the sport seats require addition to the seatback frames of the lumbar bladder assy and the bolster brackets. Then you must add the inflation pump, control module and solenoid. And to tie all of that together there is an additional wiring harness, plus the lumbar/seat selective switch for the console. A bit more complicated than just bolting the seats in, but without implementing the functionality why bother.

The reason I asked is because I saw a set on Ebay that had everything with them. The rails, bladder deals etc. for $450. I would think they bolt in and hook up, but don't know. The seat covers alone are $800, so it seemed like a great way to upgrade. You would need console controls too. It could get expensive if something was worn out.

As AStockVette stated, kif you wanted to upgrade your current seats with Sport seat components, they are different and is not worth it to do.

I was answering your question as to swapping out the standard seats and swapping in a complete sport seat set. you would need to get the sport seat controls which woudl plug into the factory harness and then the seats would bolt in.

I hope that answers it a bit clearer

Talked to Dino at the Salvage Yard. Dual control $125. Power seat track $125. Bolt the seat down, plug it up and let your passenger start scootin'.

I may ride over there one day if i can reach the pedals.
