I plan on getting the TTi stage 1 turbo kit and running 6-8psi. I will go to the track on occasion but no slicks, just going to run street tires. Is it worth it to hold out and find a nice 01' or newer car or will the earlier transmission hold up if I dont abuse it? Or just buy this really nice 99' I have found. I know the changes in 01' were:

the paper lined blocker rings will fail, especially if the wrong tranny fluid is used. The shift forks are aluminum and tend to bend or wear. The newer trannies changed to carbon fiber lined blocker rings and steel shift forks. And upgraded syncros and rear differential...

So, how much HP can an early M6 take compared to the upgraded M6 in the 01' and later cars...What usually breaks first?

Thanks
