So I'm at the RMV today, to put my '86 officially on the roadways of Massachusetts. After handing over a suitable amount of cash for sales tax,
new title, etc., I'm handed a randomly assigned set of plates(the vanity
ones can be nice, but they're pricey and need to be renewed about twice as
often).

And within the six letters and numbers that make up the plates for my new-old
Corvette, I see the third, fourth, and fifth digits read--wait for it--
"ZR1" . A happy little "upgrade" for me and my little L98, no?

When I picked up my vette, the girl at the dealership handed me the plate, and as soon as I read it I said "you have got to be kidding-do you really expect me to put this on my car"? You see...I work for UPS.....I went after work, still dressed in my brown uniform...and the first 3 letters were...are you ready for this.........FDX (fed ex). That had the whole dealership rollin on the floor laughing. I thought about getting a vanity plate...but I find it kinda funny now so I think I'll stick with it. ;LOL
