A/C coversion 1976

Has anyone installed a newer ac system on the 76 vette that works better,,,from a newer model car??

While not quite that old...I have done several older (R12) systems with Envirosafe refrigerant and have had very good results.

The old R-12 systems work well Our biggest problems are from heat radiated into the cabin. Add some fat mat under the carpet and youll be suprised how much more efficent the A/C will become.

I havsd done the R34 conversion. Before the compressor went out, I had several Vette mechanics tell me that it was the coldest blowing a/c system they had seen on a C3.
