I'm new to this forum. I've gained alot of basic knowledge concerning this, my first corvette(97 C5 coupe) by reading several posts of this forum....good stuff. Registered today and am looking for help getting to the root of a problem. It started with the DIC flashing "service traction control". Several days later it flashed again followed by my first experience with the "reduced engine power" mode. I've had several more sequences of this same problem, the most recent being on a trip 650 miles from home. I went through several stops along the freeway resetting codes and disconnecting the battery, eventually getting home. Codes are as follows: P1125 H, P1281 H, P 1571 H, C1278 H and have seen a C1276 H also. I know the "H" stands for a past event, but after I've cleared all the codes, whenever another series of codes is triggered it is followed by an H. Also seemed that when using cruise control at highway speeds, the engine ran strong, but if I stepped on the accelerator pedal significantly, reduced engine power popped up. The car got soaked on the trip out from home, so am thinking moisture might have something to do with this(possibility)....??
Any ideas.....and thanks in advance for any ideas offered to this "newbie".....

de-bugged

Car is now running great after removing the accelerator pedal assembly(2 bolts hold it to the firewall), disconnecting the pedal position sensor, removing it, cleaning it with electrical cleaner, putting it back together and into the car. No codes since. The primary code showing up on my hand held code reader was 1125. If this helps anyone dealing with that pesky "reduced engine power" mode...well, that's good.
