Check out this interview of Dave Hill at one of our fellow Corvette internet sites..

I have to say I immensely (sp) enjoyed this interview..so much so ..I have to share this with you guys..

Check it out and let me know what you think..

I think its the best interview to date..

I really got great insight into the man..the focus of the Corvette..and even a little information on dual clutch sequential shift technology for corvette!

Thanks, that was a great interview.

That was an excellent interview, Dave Hill came off sounding like a great Care Keeper of the Corvette. I liked D. Hill since reading about him in ACAR, and from what Rob has written, the Corvette is in Great Hands.

:cool :cool :cool

There are a couple more over there now too. Good stuff.!

Good stuff!!! I still get the feeling that Dave Hill is a talking head though... as far as we're concerned. Thanks for the info.

I understand what you're saying Rocket. Wouldn't you love to hear Zora's responses to some of those questions!??!! Today's "guy in charge" absolutely must be much more of a polical animal ALL THE TIME. It's not that Zora wasn't (I've seen some of his memos / letters to GM brass), it's just that today's world is so much smaller than in Zora's day. Here's Hill being filmed for an interview that he knows will be "broadcast" over vette internet sites that he knows first hand are monitored by GM censors / information police.

As much as I love vettes and would love to work in that group (never gonna happen), I don't think I would take Hill's job for any amount of money. Now, if he needs a #2 guy, where do I send my resume!!!?

Unfortunately times change, and People cannot be as forthright as say Zora was. But this is not something just in the auto industry but a general change in attitude. It is the samething in racing, now it is so professional you rarely get anything orginal.

On saying all that, as far as what Dave Hill and team have accomplished with C5 I hope to say that same effort towards C6 and beyond. Maybe for the time we live in a guy like Hill is what we need for the Corvette.

Just my 2 cents.:D

Didn't mean to imply otherwise.
