I took the belt off of mine b/c it started to sequel...
didn't notice any change in performance or how it ran.

It won't affect how the engine runs or responds, but when the pump fails the pump will seize.

mine began to squeal. glad to hear there are no side effects if belt is removed. thanks for the help guys.

Smog pump

I took mine all the way off and did not notice a difference at all. BUT I really noticed a difference when I removed the "CAT" mucho HP!!!!!! Give that a try.:cool

vapor canister

what about the vapor canister...can this be removed with all the vacuum lines?
