With my new heads I have run into a problem with 3 of the cylinders. The spark plugs are very close to the headers. Not wanting to risk dropping a cylinder on a long run I looked into Steve Beng's spark plug extenders. They move the delicate spark plug wire away from the header more into the open where the boot runs cooler and less chance of burning and arching.
These are ceramic and can lay right against the pipe without a problem.
I talked to Steve this morning and he is sending me three. I will post picture when they arrive and give my impressions of them.
They could be the future fix for those burnt boots

I ordered 3 of them for testing and will certainly post pictures and my impressions on how they work for me. If they work as claimed they could really help alot of people with burnt spark plug boots.
Those high speed runs are going to begin in another 2 or 3 weeks. The 3 of us as all firing our new engines next weekend to make sure there are no problems and the 1st May we will be off running across country to the various car shows.

They are very trick, wish they had them back years ago,i use to use the jacobs ceramic boots but those look way better.

I am running two Jacob ceramic boots presently and have been for alot of years. I just like the looks of these extenders and it makes putting the wires on easier. I am willing to spend the money in search of a better idea.
Only time will tell if it is wasted or not. I had them send by regular mail to avoid brokerage fees and taxes. While it takes alot longer it is cheaper.
