A very interesting article in the winter 2003 issue of The Corvette Restorer (page 32, "A Rough Road To Monterey") very closely parallels an experience I shared with my '59 in '83. It's a real sick feeling you get when you are pulling away from a stop sign and you look in the mirror just in time to see your Corvette roll off the trailer.
After seeing the picture of Ed's '57 in the Fall issue I became motivated to finally do something about that damage that has made me sick for so many years. I immediately knew what happened to his car without even reading the text. It could be a picture of mine, except for the paint and his being a much nicer car. I have been lax in submitting columns to the CAC for a few months now but I am working on one outlining the repairs to the front of my '59. If I actually get something accomplished on my car maybe some good will come from his misfortune.
