??? A Switch on dash?????

I just bought an AWESOME 87....I am pretty familiar with most of the options on the car except for one. There is a rocker switch on the horizontal surface of the dash that is directly below the headlight switch and the fog light switch, (left of the steering column). Beside it is an LED. The markings on the switch are "A" and "M". Does anyone have an idea as to what it could be????

Is the car a 4+3, perchance?

I doubt it is factory switch.

Sound like an aftermarket alarm switch. My 87 has nothing below the headlight switch.

The 4+3 OD button is on the shifter on mine.
