Hello,

I have a 1990 Corvette convertible and the Service ABS indicator stays on. ANy suggestions to what might be the problem with the ABS system?

You may want to top off the brake fluid.:confused

Probably the most common reason the for lite is dirt & grease packed on the sensor tip.
Next would be a sensor thats out of alignment due to worn wheel bearings. If bearings are allowed to wear too far, it will actually knock the tip off the sensor. You can get it scanned to see which wheel has the problem, then a visual inspection of the sensor often tells you if thats the problem or not. Its a complicated system, so any issues beyond a wheel sensor need to be addressed by someone with the training and the tools to find the problem.

Fortunately, your '90 ABS is included in the OBD system and can be scanned by a regular OBD scanner....on 87 and older, the ABS was "off-board" and required a different scanner that was good for nothing but that yr ABS...so those scans and parts are far and few between...
