ABS goes off under normal braking

Recently, the ABS has been going off more than i think it should. This is more or less average breaking (some times over a small bump). Nothing extreme at all.

I purchased new tires end of last summer (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S) and i'm not at all happy with them. I went with 255/45ZR17 front and 285/40ZR17 rear. So they are standard size... but, i did change from having 275/40ZR17 on all fours. I also replaced break pads shortly after.

I've read a few threads the ABS is sensitive to tire size/change. Does the ABS need to be adjusted since i changed tires? Is this a break problem, tire problem or ABS problem?

Any input or help would be appreciated.

Still happens. Mostly over bumps, etc. Anything to do with my tires slipping or could my shocks not be holding the tires down enough.

Have the shocks ever been changed?
Perhaps you're right about not holding down the rubber.

Aren't the Pilot Sports suppose to be stickier?
Seems that they would help... not make it worse.
I'm going to guess that the tire size may be the difference.
With OBDII, you might be able to adjust tire size which could clear up the problem.

Sorry.. not good answers, but all I have to offer.

Overactive ABS

I had a similar problem with a Blazer. Turned out to be one of the ABS signal wires rubbing on a front wheel. I felt really stupid for not looking sooner because after several months the shielded signal wire completely broke and shut down the ABS. PITA to replace too.
