abs light

Have a 1991 C4 , at times the abs light comes on and stays on while driving the car, next time I drive it may not come on at all. Has anyone else had this problem?

There are two "ABS lights" and many people have had them come on.

Which of the two "ABS Active" or "Service ABS" is on?

Do you have the Factory Service Manual for your car?

Regardless of which light it is, check your brake fluid. I LOST my ABS today auto-x'ing. Here I had enough fluid but under the g-forces the sensor set a low fluid code and then NO ABS, then flat spotted my tires a bit. In my case between min and max is NOT good enough, MUST be full.

Service ASR, Service ABS lights came on for me at the same time for this.
