AC Delco 41-110 Iridium plugs replaced with another for our C5's ?

Whats the story on this ?
I was under the impression that the plug was a Iridium 41-110 but I came across this Bulletin, Subject: ACDelco Spark Plugs 41-110 and 41-962 - Application Update

With due respects to Paul (c4c5specialist)...there are other choices in plugs besides ACDelco. Admittedly, not all of them are good choices but some are. For example–the Denso iridium power line of aftermarket replacement plugs.

I've been using the Denso IT-22 in both my C4 (1995) C5 (2004) and C6 (2012) with excellent results. Not only do they perform well but their durability is outstanding.

The question posed was why was one over the other in the recommendation.

ACDelco, which is not part of GM recommendations on these pages, is suggesting to sell platinums over iridiums at a lower cost.

However, Iridiums will last much longer against fuel chemicals and combustion chamber environments.

Why recommend Iridiums whereas platinums will not last as long so they can sell more spark plugs???

Hm, good question. The GM recommendation is still 41-110 .
