First off I removed the AC some years ago and have no idea of the wiring now.

I know and have found the two pin connector for the compressor clutch.
I have found the light green wire that goes the idle kick-up solenoid.

What is missing is the single light green wire that is supposed to go to the pressure switch on the compressor. I know it had one....at least I think it did.......so I need help on this one.
Where does this light green wire come from? What is it bundled with?
Any and all hints, suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks in advance,

The pressure switch is located in front of the heater box just above the heater coolant cutoff valve. Should be a two wire connector with a big rubber connector. There is only one wiring harness running on that side. Comming from above the heater box next to the coolant reservoir and under or even behind the intake plastic ducting. I think when you're missing the pressure switch connector and it's hanging down you can find it located as low as the underside of the dryer (from the top of my head on sunday morning...)
Are you going to reinstall the stuff, I'm just curious :)

Greetings Peter

Maybe some day I will re-install the AC...not at the moment though.
I was looking for the pressure sensor wire as it is also the same circuit that switches the idle solenoid on. I had switched the coolant temp sensor wire and the idle solenoid wire when I began my cam break-in and did not have a temp gauge for a few minutes. What confused me was the wire length....the idle solenoid wire should have been long enough to reach the idle solenoid...but it is not, whereas the coolant temp sensor wire is.

I wanted to find the AC pressure sensor light green wire on the right side and do a continunity check with the one on the left side to be sure I had the correct wires.

Then I got confused between cars and thought the '81 had a pressure switch on the rear of the compressor. I found the pressure switch exactly as you described it. Had to wipe the dirt off the wire to see the color....but then no problem.

Thanks for the help.
