I have ruby convertible LT1 1) does a car have better acceleration by using the automatic transmission, or if i shift manually and accelerate each gear up to 5500 rpm? 2) What is the difference in acceleration if I start with or without a traction control enabled? 3) Is there any kind of the governor that control the maximum rpm? If yes, when is it turned on? 4) What is the acceleration time of the LT1 automatic, up to 1/4 of a mile, or from 0 to 60 rpm? Same question for the manual transmission. Thanks for yours respond!

only time to answer one of your questions right now, about the traction control. If you hit it just right, you can leave the TC on, and have good acceleration....BUT...if the TC engages, you're hosed, cause it robs all of your gas pedal, and takes a second or two to click off. I always leave the TC off when I'm launching, cause if I spin, I can correct for that alot quicker than waiting for the TC to kick off.
