I have ruby convertible LT1 1) does a car have better acceleration by using the automatic transmission, or if i shift manually and accelerate each gear up to 5500 rpm? 2) What is the difference in acceleration if I start with or without a traction control enabled? 3) Is there any kind of the governor that control the maximum rpm? If yes, when is it turned on? 4) What is the acceleration time of the LT1 automatic, up to 1/4 of a mile, or from 0 to 60 rpm? Same question for the manual transmission. Thanks for yours respond!

1)If you're really fast, maybe shifting the auto is better, but
for most, probably not. My car is manual, so that's a guess.
2) Accel from a standing stop is maybe .2-.3 s slower with
traction control. Racers turn it off
3). Yes. For manual, stock computer chip, it was 5850 rpm.
4). Stock LT1 auto's do the 1/4 in maybe 14.1-14.2 s; 0-60mph
in maybe 5.5 s . Manual, stock LT1 gets maybe 13.8-13.9 s in
the 1/4 mi. 0-60 ? maybe it's 5.4 or even 5.2s.
