Accelerator problem

I've noticed my accelerator has a 'bump' at the top of it's stroke. When I'm at a dead stop (i.e. traffic light), the accelerator is harder to get moving. This results in a lot of jackrabbit type starts, not because I'm trying to jump off the line, but because of follow through in the acceleration stroke.

In every other car I've ever had, it was a smooth transition from the top to the bottom of the accelerator stroke, and this is getting annoying. Any ideas? Is something out of adjustment?

Thanks for the help

Trey

Throttle body sticking?
Try cleaning the throttle body.

Check for any binding in the gas pedal pivot.

Just my first thoughts.

Try all the Tuna said. Mine did the same thing for a while (until the new engine swap happened) and I could never figure it out. I tried everything. :hb
