One more question on that Z06 I tested yesterday. I took the time to adjust the seat just right but when I looked at the HUD on the windshield it was sort of cut in half & I had to slouch down in the seat to see it.

Is the place where the HUD appears adjustable or just the seat?

Many thanks!

Fully Adjustable

The HUD is adjustable through a pretty wide range up and down. Brightness is also adjustable, of course. Controls are to left of steering wheel on upper dashboard.

Thanks Fstop!

In addition to being able to move the HUD up and down in the windscreen, and adjust the brightness, the control pod to the left of the instrument cluster also allows different information to be displayed. For instance:

- mph only
- mph and rpm only
- mph, rpm, and fuel level
- mph, rpm, and oil pressure
- etc., etc., etc.

It also has a usable "shift light" built in.

Here's a photo from Chevrolet which shows the mph, rpm, turn signal, and oil pressure combo:

does anybody else wish the display could be adjusted left & right? to me it doesn't seem quite centered... I must be sitting in the seat crooked or holding my head funny...

See if your display is centered above an imaginary vertical line between the tach and the speedo, like it portrays in the Chevy photo. If not, try repositioning in your seat, if it's still not centered, ask your dealer if there is any kind of mechanical/mounting adjustment to the HUD lens or the actual HUD projector. It could be slightly off center, or tilted due to loose mounting, or some foreign material under the edge. I don't remember what the mounted assembly looked like under the dash pad from my factory tour, but it seems logical that it could be installed incorrectly once in a while.
