Advice on buying a C5 sight unseen

Blu ByU said:
My apologies, I guess I should have posted an update. I did find one locally, the 04 CE I mentioned earlier. Took it to it's first show today and brought home a Gold! Thanks everybody for the input.
Congratulations!

Any pics??

I bought my '04 coupe on Ebay. I'd searched months for a medium spiral grey, and finally found one on Ebay. Luckily it was at a dealership close to my sister's house in KC. So I had my BIL run over and inspect it with a magnifying glass - exterior was perfect. It was still under warranty so I wasn't sweating the drive line. I got a phenomenal deal (almost $8K under blue book). The deal was subject to my approval of the car of course (that was part of their terms).

The dealer was 5 Star Motors in Olathe, KS. Great guys, beautiful dealership, I highly recommend. While I was signing the papers they detailed her for me. When I went to leave they lead me to this room that had marble floors and marble tile half way up the wall, my baby was dramatically lit in the middle. The took a picture of me when I first saw it. I had such a sh*t eating grin, you'd think I'd just won a sleep over party with Jenna Jameson. :L

Just thought I'd share an excellent experience with you.

Sounds like a great experience, and what a cool way to pick up your car!

I bought my first C5 a few weeks ago from Corvette Palace in Austin, Tx. It is a beautiful 6 speed mag red coupe. I flew there and drove it home. Now that I have been to Corvette Palace, I could easily buy a car from them sight unseen.
