aftermarket shifter

I have a 93 automatic and really don't like how high the shifter sits. Has anyone modified the shifter height or installed an aftermarket shifter that is shorter (lower) or sits lower in the console??

I asked about Hurst shifters in another post and it came highly recommended. No one seemed to be interested in the B&M model. I haven't changed mine yet but it is at the top of the list.

I haven't heard of any aftermarket shifters for automatic C4's

I looked at some of the hurst shifters made for automatic vettes and they looked pretty nice, I just want the lever to be shorter and not so tall in the console.....
