Aftermarket wheels...?

I am considering changing my stock rims for aftermarket wheels. Do I have to worry about the tire pressure sensors? I know they are located at the valve stem, however, is there a difference in diameter?

My opinion is that if you are going to put aftermarket wheels on your Vette make sure they are good wheels. Have them high speed balanced so your sure they are true with no vibration. Nothing worse than buying an expensive set of wheels and finding you can't lose the vibration at 65 or 70 or....?:duh :duh

Just remember that the sensors are part of the valve stems and to make sure who ever mounts the tires and installs the tire pressure sensors that they do not over tighten them otherwise they can crack the sensor and it will not work. The sensor should not be tightend no more that 10 INCH pounds :beer

Remember that's inch pounds; NOT foot pounds:CRASH

Thanks for all you replies. I have decided to go with the factory chrome exchange from West Coast Corvettes. Afterall they are forged wheels. The chrome will dress it up a bit better than the clearcoated polished!
